OUR 2009 METALLICS MEETING
Forecasting, fact-finding
and functioning in
far-reaching ferroalloys markets
The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa
Tucson, AZ
October 26-28, 2008
Ferroalloys
markets are adjusting to the reality of growing consumption, and
in many cases, production in China and India. Prices are retreating
from record-highs, but political unrest, plant outages, trade
restrictions, exchange rates and new tax regulations could easily
cause prices to spike or sink. Staying abreast of global events
is as critical as knowing the requirements of customers. Ryan's
Notes
The annual
Ryan's Notes Ferroalloys Conference provides an efficient way
to learn about industry trends, meet with business associates
from around the world and make new contacts. The 2007 meeting
was the largest ferroalloys meeting of the year, attracting more
than 600 delegates from 30 different countries. Papers on major
ferroalloys, the steel industry and the economy precede lively
question and answer sessions. Delegates have the chance to hear
the viewpoints of producers, consumers, traders, analysts and
government officials. Afternoons are free for networking. Other
informal venues for exchanging ideas include cocktail receptions,
luncheons and golf and tennis tournaments.
